For assistance, please call the Customer Service number on the back of your Card.
13) How do I manage the push notification settings on my Pass?
By default you may receive Pass notifications from time to time based on your account activity. If you do not wish to receive push notifications you may turn off the push notification feature for Passbook by opening your device settings and selecting ‘Notifications.’ From there, select ‘Passbook.’ Toggle the ‘Notification Center’ selector from the ‘On’ to ‘Off.’ On that same screen, toggle the ‘View in Lock Screen’ from ‘On’ to ‘Off.’

In order to receive real-time push notifications, you must have ‘Automatic Updates’ turned ‘On’ on the back of the Pass. In addition, you must confirm that your notification center is turned on and that notifications are viewable in lock screen. This can be managed in the settings section of your device.
Make sure you have adequate reception from your mobile service provider -- if you do not have a signal, the notifications cannot be delivered. Delivery of push notifications is not always guaranteed; for all official statement information please refer to your Paper Billing statement, which you can access at americanexpress.com from your computer.
